Located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast near Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters boasts one of the most popular marinas along the South East Queensland Coast.
Constructed in Jessica Haven, a man made water body, excavated to provide fill for the surrounding home and commercial buildings sites in the early 70's.
It has a regular flat bottom and is about 2 metres deep at mean sea level.
This open space of water, these days, is overlooked and enjoyed by more than 140 home units, residences and commercial offices.
The remaining open water space provides just sufficient room to turn a 20 metre long vessel in safety, in normal weather conditions.
Jessica Haven is the cul-de-sac end of the main Kawana Waters Canal, which in turn enters the Mooloolah River.
The river then enters the Pacific Ocean at Point Cartwright. The total distance is 2.75 kilometres.
